Intensive Introduction to Studio Lighting Course

A two-hour intensive private course aiming to get you up and running with studio lighting and able to create most basic lighting setups and design setups for specific purposes.

On past performance this has been all many students need to get themselves up and running, perhaps followed by some studio hire for practise or project work. This course represents incredible value and is a remarkably cost-effective way to get started – you learn a lot in a short space of time, then get the opportunity to reinforce all you’ve learned by immediately doing it all for real.

This course can be booked at any time Monday to Friday. Groups of students are welcome to share costs.

Previously I had attended a one week studio lighting course in London and still didn’t really understand a lot of it. Jon at Southdown Studio immediately gave me confidence and made it seem simple and fun. Two hours flew by and straight after the course I practised what I’d learned with my friend modelling for me and Jon occasionally assisting when I couldn’t work something out.
